G1 INTERVIEW

“Entrepreneur wants to join forces with the composting chain to make the process more effective!”

Recently, our founder, Luciene Garcia Cunha, gave an interview to G1. She talked about Reatto's story and the company's short- and long-term goals.

During the interview, Luciene also spoke about Reatto's purpose of making organic waste more circular, so that it returns to the plate as new food.

“The goal is also to add value by selling a solution that brings benefits to the environment. We have a fully automated unit that collects data. When analyzed, this data can serve a range of benefits for the city, showing how much is generated and where it goes. It provides an ecological benefit to those who adopt the solution.”

She also covered the goal of facilitating exchange between farmers, who need compost, and organic waste generators, who pay for disposal and cause substantial harm to the environment. Luciene also mentioned the network of partners that Reatto builds, which includes large producers of organic waste, such as restaurants, hotels and residential buildings.

“I think the timing is perfect. More and more people value investing in sustainable businesses. This is no longer a market niche, and it is growing fast. With the ESG agenda, this has only increased. Companies want the seal so they can reach other markets and be seen by other audiences. I chose to build a business in this field because I believe humanity needs to respond. There is no planet B. There is no 'away.' Away where? We need to care for our waste and take responsibility for it.”
